SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have or be able to obtain UK SC Security Clearance via the UK Intelligence Community (UKIC) process.

LOCATION: Newport, South Wales (with some hybrid working available subject to our Hybrid Working Policy)

As a Network Infrastructure Engineer & Architect, you will be responsible for technology development, integration testing, deployment, and product lifecycle management for Network Security Products.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Maintain and manage changes during the lifecycle of Network Products, while improving efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Analyze console messages and diagnose system failures, taking corrective action to ensure continuity of operations and escalating to technical teams or vendors as needed.
  • Supervise system backups and lead disaster recovery tests, implementing technologies and processes that improve reliability, efficiency, and availability.
  • Ensure operational continuity and system reliability by managing ITIL support processes, diagnosing failures, and executing backup/disaster recovery protocols.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, including all economic aspects such as budget planning.

ABOUT YOU

  • Background in IT/Telecommunications with experience in Data Centre Network Technologies (BGP, OSPF and routing protocols, QoS, Routers communities, VRFs, IP Management)
  • Experience in Cisco devices alongside network and security management platforms (ACI, Firewalls)
  • Experience with F5/Load Balancers
  • Experience in encryption alongside Network certifications (Encryption protocols: https, IPSEC... / Crypto boxes: Compumatica, Genua, Cisco manufacturers)
