We are seeking a Systems Architect to design and develop complex systems required by geospatial projects and cloud-based solutions using in-house or cloud infrastructure. This role involves participating and contributing to the organisational capabilities, geospatial products and services portfolio design and development.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Capturing and analysing stakeholder needs, both functional and non-functional, translating them into comprehensive technical geo spatial product requirements and defining architectural solutions to satisfy them.
  • Designing and modelling functionality and physical systems, expressing the solution to a level appropriate for the audience.
  • Evaluating technical options in a way that considers the appropriate level of detail, wider impacts and available technology.
  • Leading the technical architecture, integration and potential deployment of the solution and the related IT infrastructure.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience as a System Architect, with Cloud experience.
  • INCOSE System Engineering CSEP certification or equivalent is desired.
  • Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) from conceptual through detailed design with knowledge and experience of common architecture frameworks (TOGAF, NAF, etc).
  • Experience and knowledge of IT security and a good understanding of “security by design” and “privacy by design”.
  • Understanding of cloud technology, cloud architecture and how to design, develop, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions and services hosted in the cloud.
  • Understanding of the management and provision of the solution infrastructure including all aspects related to processing, storage, networking, high-availability, resilience, and backup.
