You will join the Airframe Tolerancing team as part of the Airbus Engineering. The Airframe Tolerancing team is a multicultural team with representatives in the UK, France, Germany and Spain, and has ties with Airbus North America and Airbus India Engineering.
The Tolerance Analyst is part of the growing Transnational Airframe Tolerancing team within the Airbus Engineering function. He/She provides specialised Tolerancing (dimensional variation management) solutions for all Airbus programmes (A220, Single Aisle, A330, A350, A380 and A400M), as well as for research programs, new technologies, new aircraft concepts and innovative industrial systems.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
- Collaborating across engineering design, stress, aerodynamics, manufacturing, and quality departments within a global digitalized environment.
- Providing insight into the airframe journey from the initial R&T phase through to production, interacting directly with Final Assembly Lines and flight testing teams.
- Working in concert with complex design principles and tools like DFEM and Aerodynamics to ensure the tolerancing deliverable supports the overall solution.
- Applying appropriate tolerancing solutions to achieve the best balance between high performance and cost-effective manufacturing.
- Offering expertise to other divisions, including Helicopters and Space, to reach optimal compromises in production and manufacturing.
- Contributing to a global environment while developing specialist skills and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the aircraft market and development steps.
ABOUT YOU:
- Educated to an Engineering degree ideally in Mechanical / Aerospace
- Knowledge of ISO Tolerances annotation, 1D and 3D stack-up, MECAMASTER/3DCS tool would be a plus
- Experience in Computer Aided Design, CATIA would be a plus
- Knowledge on KCnT Airbus tool would be a plus
- Experience in manufacturing would be a plus
- Project management skills would be a plus
