The predicted salary is between 54000 - 66000 £ per year.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check), via Access NI.

Record findings to error log by category. Issue amendments to import and exports as necessary. Attend routine KPI meetings with 3rd party brokers to review audit findings. Monitor error categories to identify areas of concern, and investigate better ways of working. Monthly review of Deferment Account Activity and available balance. Collaborate with the Customs Manager with new business projects, research and data analysis. Support key stakeholders in system improvements.

Record Keeping and Control:

  • Broker management
  • Maintain a log for visibility
  • Audit entries
  • Chase missing documents
  • Monthly Audit to include: Help to prepare reports to show activity, issues etc.
  • Deep dive into category in rotation with Customs Manager and document findings to evidence compliance or corrective action
  • Review Airbus Belfast CDS data to find issues and errors

Training:

  • Aid in identifying annual refresher training for the business
  • Maintain regulatory notices

Supervision:

  • Maintain own regulatory knowledge and updates
  • First point of contact for support to Customs Clearance Team
  • Advisor to other business functions on customs implications
  • Mitigate risk to the company wherever possible
  • Monitor commodities for opportunity to maximize cost avoidance

Essential:

  • 2 years of customs input experience
  • Experience in the logistics & supply chain
  • Knowledge of the Windsor Framework and how it impacts on NI industry

Desirable:

  • 5 years of customs input experience
  • Knowledge of finance and controlling
  • Experience in the aviation industry
  • Experience using SAP GTS
  • Experience using Maxim
  • Experience using Conex
  • Experience of Customs Special procedures including Inward Processing

You are confident in reading and understanding complex documentation and in creating legal documents.
