The International Government Affairs Manager UK position is attached to the International Government Affairs (IGG) organisation and integrated in the Public Affairs UK (LK) team, acting in accordance with Public Affairs UK practices. Reporting directly to the Head of International Government Affairs, you will act in full transparency/alignment with the Head of Public Affairs UK. Based in London (Strand Office) and co‑located with the UK Public Affairs team, you will serve as the vital link between Airbus Global Regions and the UK headquarters. You will provide business clarity from international territories (excluding the core home countries) to ensure targeted, timely political support is delivered through the leadership of the UK Public Affairs office. You will be developing high‑quality briefings for business and sales campaigns, ensuring all messaging is strategically relevant and fully aligned with the standards of the specific government administrations being addressed.

How You Will Contribute To The Team

  • Supporting Airbus‑wide political export lobbying processes as the primary voice of the Regions for Public Affairs UK.
  • Acting as the bridge between Businesses in the Regions, Public Affairs UK, and foreign representations in the UK to leverage governmental support.
  • Developing regional lobbying plans and coordinating their implementation with Public Affairs UK.
  • Identifying and leveraging bilateral opportunities.
  • Analyzing Region/Division lobbying requests and proposing specific activities for interaction with UK political stakeholders and diplomatic missions.
  • Building intelligence by bridging local and Home Country sources; ensuring political coherence by synthesising information from the Regions and Home Countries.
  • Preparing high‑level briefings on export‑related business for incoming/outgoing delegations, ensuring all materials adhere to UK government protocol and standards.
  • Promoting Airbus export priorities within the UK political environment and representing the company in relevant working groups and committees, in full alignment with Public Affairs UK.

About You

  • Degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Law, or Politics.
  • Extended professional experience in Business Development, Sales, International Relations, or Public Affairs.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within a multinational team and navigate formal protocol environments.
  • Experience handling complex political topics and engaging with ministries, agencies, and NGOs.
  • Exceptional drafting, analysis, and synthesis capabilities are essential.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in another Airbus Home Country language (French, German, or Spanish) is a distinct advantage.
