Job Overview
Industrial System Designer role within the OMFK team in the Serial CAF/FAF domain.
The primary focus is on structural and systems installation for worldwide rear fuselages and subcomponents, delivering cascaded requirements to designated plants, supporting concept verification and validation, and driving industrial system design in sync with aircraft design to increase maturity during early change developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise MFTs to co‑design industrial system changes with the Aircraft Design Office and external departments; negotiate frontier drawings and align on Build Process, Datum strategy, tolerance analysis and process capabilities.
- Define or re‑define Build Concepts using a Value Stream Analysis approach to improve industrial architecture, material flow, and industrial structure breakdown.
- Perform technology selection mapping to implement cost‑effective, efficient technologies for ramp‑up investments.
- Define, validate and integrate top‑level industrial and manufacturing requirements to ensure end‑to‑end process optimisation; create the Industrial V&V plan and schedule verification activities.
- Challenge product definition dossier to secure industrial targets and analyse Figures of Merit, including workload sizing, quality, lead‑time assessment (line balancing, cycle times) and industrial costs.
- Act as a key leader interacting across programmes, plants and finance to ensure top programme objectives; apply Lean principles for business improvements and knowledge capitalization.

- Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in structural assembly, systems installation, and aligning aircraft design with manufacturing constraints.
- Full proficiency and daily operational use of Google Suite.
- Strong background in Value Stream Analysis, industrial structure breakdown and material flow optimisation.
- Experience in defining top‑level industrial requirements and creating robust verification and validation plans.
Desirable
- Background in a design office or research & technology environment bridging concepts and production.
- Experience with digital factory tools (robotics, automation, simulation) for plant layouts and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with PLM tools such as DOORS, 3DX (3DEXPERIENCE) or simulation software (SIMBAL, Any Logic, AVATAR).
