About the role
Guidant Global is partnering with Airbus to recruit a Data Management Engineer to support key data management activities within the Landing Gear (LG) domain. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact data improvement and governance initiatives within a complex, large-scale engineering environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring data is well-controlled, accessible, and fit for purpose-supporting both operational excellence and long-term data governance. This role suits someone who enjoys working autonomously, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, and making tangible improvements to how data is managed and used.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting data management implementation within the Landing Gear domain, including network-attached data containment
- Contributing to data improvement initiatives, such as enhancing site pages, documentation, and data structures
- Ensuring effective control, governance, and management of data produced across LG operational areas
- Supporting the preparation of data governance guidelines and related communication materials
- Working with multiple stakeholders, providing support and guidance where required
- Applying a proactive and flexible approach to managing tasks and priorities autonomously
What we're looking for
Essential skills and experience:
- Strong experience using Windows command line and scripting (autonomous level)
- Basic data analytics and reporting capability
- Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with an agile and flexible approach
- Solid general IT skills with a willingness to support others
Desirable (but not essential)
- Knowledge of data management processes
- Business data modelling skills
- Python programming experience
- Experience with Google Workspace and Google Sites management
