Location: Belfast
Contract: 12‑month initial contract (high likelihood of extension)
Hours: 36 hours per week, shift‑based (39.5% shift premium applies)
Pay: £16.25 per hour PAYE / £21.74 per hour Umbrella
Security: BPSS+ clearance required (completed by Airbus Security)

What You'll Be Doing

As a Composite Operative, you'll manufacture a range of aerospace components to exacting engineering standards. Your role will involve:

Core Responsibilities

  • Producing composite components using various materials in line with engineering and quality requirements.
  • Following defined processes, using supplied materials, tooling, and detailed work instructions.
  • Preparing, cutting, and laying up composite materials for autoclave curing.
  • Carrying out finishing operations on cured components and associated tooling.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant working environment at all times.
  • Reading and understanding work instructions and production documentation.
  • Working flexibly across shift patterns and completing overtime where required.

What You'll Bring

Essential

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Warehouse or production experience.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy.

Desirable

  • Experience within the aerospace sector.
  • NVQ Level 2 in a manufacturing or engineering discipline (or equivalent).
  • Manual Handling training.
