About us: Join Airbus Military UK Part-145, an elite team of over 250 personnel dedicated to supporting the RAF's A400M fleet of 22 aircraft. We are an approved line maintenance organisation, providing aircraft recovery, scheduled maintenance, and component support worldwide. Our main operating base is a state-of-the-art £70 million hangar facility at RAF Brize Norton. Working alongside the military in a high-profile environment, we are responsible for preparing aircraft for governmental missions in various environments. What you will be doing: As part of an inclusive team, you will work alongside and learn our cutting-edge aircraft with industry experts while tackling real-world challenges and contribute to enhancements within our aviation industry by carrying out key project management, continuous improvement and supporting the leadership team.
- Collaborate with Experts: Work shoulder to shoulder with licensed maintenance engineers and gain insights from experts in the aviation maintenance industry.
- Hands-on experience: Dive into the heart of our projects with practical, hands-on tasks that impact real aircraft management situations.
- Innovate and Create: Contribute to designing, testing and optimising aircraft processes using the latest technologies and methods.
Requirements: Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application. Your application should include a CV along with a Cover Letter outlining your motivation and suitability for the role.
As the successful candidate, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- You will currently be studying an Engineering-related degree;
- The ability to listen, understand and communicate information effectively and efficiently;
- Desire to work in an open and trusting environment, both independently as well as within a larger team;
- Pro-active attitude and positive engagement towards learning in a technical environment with a strong interest in developing yourself;
- Interest in finding, developing and implementing creative solutions to complex problems;
- Professional attitude that will be reflected towards external suppliers and internal stakeholders;
- Having a UK driving licence and having your own car would be beneficial.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
