Job Description:
Airbus Operations Limited is a £4bn turnover company with many stakeholders relying on the timeliness and accuracy of the financial information.
The Business Unit controlling, i.e., management accounting, work is varied and requires strong analytical skills. There will be both recurring and ad-hoc activities, with a focus on making processes leaner and exploring project-based opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Support the central controlling teams in driving the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes across all business units, ensuring robust financial planning and alignment with company objectives.
- Work closely with local business and operational managers to define and propose improvement projects for inclusion in the budget, validating financial information such as sizing, business cases, and ROI for decision-making.
- Provide robust and current financial reporting to local and central teams to ensure visibility of performance versus targets and early warning of financial risks.
- Challenge operational performance and support management in achieving targets by driving improvement measures and mitigation actions on financial topics.
- Participate in assessing business cases and proposals for operational investments and performance improvement projects, ensuring assumptions and financial evaluations are robust.
- Conduct financial controlling activities in categories such as Recurring Cost, Inventory, Non-Recurring Cost, and Capex Jigs/Tools as requested.
Skill Set
- Qualified Accountant preferred (CIMA), with at least 2 years PQE in manufacturing or a commercial environment.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent financial reporting tools.
- Ability to work proactively within a dynamic team and contribute positively.
- Strong communication skills to engage multiple stakeholders across different levels and countries.
