Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic professional to lead Technical Facility Services at Airbus, supporting and delivering a portfolio of building and construction projects. The role is within the Facilities Management and Real Estate (FMRE) organisation, aligning site operations with UK and transnational sites and integrated organisations.
How you will contribute to the team:
- Strategy & Leadership: Ensure project delivery aligns with technical standards and specifications, act as a key interface in Multi‑Functional Teams for technical requirements of site project portfolios (>50M€), enforce governance at each gate (G0‑G10) to meet time, cost and quality objectives.
- Operational Delivery & Asset Management: Provide technical leadership across all projects, ensuring alignment to ongoing maintenance of facilities, infrastructure and technical equipment (mechanical & electrical) for a safe working environment and business continuity; lead site development strategies, support investment plans and keep systems updated.
- Financial & Supplier Management: Manage budget control, supplier governance, maintain customer relations and contribute to reducing operating costs through business transformation.
- Compliance, Health, Safety & Sustainability: Drive a safety‑first culture, support Airbus’s corporate environmental objectives and develop communication plans for FMRE, business stakeholders, governing bodies, and authorities.
About you:
- Leadership experience with a technical engineering team and partner/subcontractor management.
- Project management fundamentals with experience in technical maintenance and construction, leading high‑profile, large‑scale portfolio projects.
- Ability to document a clear technical strategy and policy for maintenance activities (electrical, mechanical, fire, fabric, cranes) and deliver continuous improvement through data analysis across the portfolio.
- Electrical/mechanical knowledge with a preference for electrical, including networks and HV/LV assets, and proficiency in Google Suite and construction management tools.
- Regulatory knowledge of building and maintenance regulations and facility maintenance/operations management (SFG standards).
- Understanding of financial management, operation and investment budgets, and resource control for strategic portfolios.
- Clear understanding of fundamental sustainability concepts and their application in an industrial context.
