Airbus Facilities Management and Real Estate: Buildings & Construction (B&C) are a team working across different UK sites supporting construction of new buildings and infrastructure refurbishments. We build all necessary facilities to support Airbus core business.
We are looking for a Strategic Portfolio Manager to join our site at Broughton, where you will use strong stakeholder management skills to govern partner relationships and customer expectations to deliver a portfolio of Building & Construction projects of >30M€ yearly to achieve our operational, sustainability, and workplace of the future objectives. This is an opportunity to drive and develop our existing facilities with new buildings and reconfigure existing facilities to suit our business needs and our increase in production rate.
You will be leading a building and construction team of ca. 5-6 Airbus internal project leaders as well as external site managers, architects, engineers and contractors to ensure successful and safe delivery of projects within budget, schedule, and quality standards.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM:
- Establish, plan, and lead the successful delivery of the entire project portfolio, ensuring all projects adhere to the robust LBIP (G0-G10) governance framework to meet time, cost, and quality objectives.
- Provide operational leadership for the Project Management team, encompassing recruitment, competency development, and strategic resource allocation (including prioritisation) to meet the current and forecasted project workload.
- Own the overall portfolio financial health, ensuring strict cost control by managing expenditure within budget, overseeing efficient resource utilisation, and proactively managing major project risks and opportunities.
- Guarantee all project delivery is in full compliance with AIRBUS procedures and relevant regulations (particularly Health & Safety), while developing and executing communication plans for all FMRE, business stakeholders, and governing bodies.
- Actively contribute to site master planning, national/transnational process improvements, and maintain critical relationships with suppliers, business requestors, and authorities to drive continuous transformation.
ABOUT YOU:
- Experience in leading a team, ideally a team of Project Managers.
- Project management experience, including construction industry.
- Leadership on high profile, large scale portfolio projects.
- Experience of budget and resource control for strategic project portfolio.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and construction management tools.
