From our Prestwick site we manufacture aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for Approved Operators to be based at our customer Airbus’s site at Broughton, Chester. These roles will be responsible for repair and rework of manufactured assemblies to engineering defined standards using both recognised manual and automated technologies. In addition, you will undertake operations support roles as required and provide guidance and support to other areas of the business as and when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble aircraft wing structure components to approved quality standards
- Carry out sealing, coating and finishing in line with engineering specifications
- Use hand tools, equipment and systems safely, including tooling checks and TPM activities
- Maintain a safe, clean and compliant working environment
About you
Candidates must have completed an accredited apprenticeship in an appropriate mechanical discipline and be able to produce original documentation in support of this. Assist in the manufacture of aircraft components built to customer specifications within agreed budget and timescales. Read and interpret engineering instructions and meet the agreed customer specifications. Be personally responsible for ensuring and certifying that the quality of your work consistently meets specific standards required by the Company. Work within a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiencies to meet the changing needs of our market. Read technical drawings. Work on your own initiative or as part of a team as required.
