About us
Looking to explore an exciting career where you can grow and develop as a young professional in supply chain and logistics? Airbus UK designs, manufactures and manages the supply chain for Wings and Fuel Systems on all Airbus commercial aircraft. This role is based at our worldâclass Broughton Production facility.
What you will be doing
You will develop a unique understanding of our endâtoâend supply chain through exposure to its full life cycle, working crossâfunctionally from production planning to supply management to logistics & transport, including the Beluga. Your activities may include:
- Supplier management â liaise with suppliers to ensure delivery dates are adhered to, address issues, and monitor recovery.
- SAP Experience â manage purchase orders, nonâconformance processing, stock management and exception messages.
- SCBP Understanding â support Supply Chain Business Partners on identified topics.
- Supply Chain Familiarisation â learn the ordering management function and its integration with planning, supply chain & logistics.
- Digitalisation & Continuous Improvement â utilise digital tools such as Data Analytics, Process Mining, and RPA; implement improvement ideas and develop KPIs and dashboards.
Requirements
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Studying towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent;
- Project management experience;
- Familiarity with Google Workspace;
- Capacity to work under pressure and support projects with aggressive timelines;
- Selfâstarter with an entrepreneurial mindset;
- Good analytical and problemâsolving skills;
- Knowledge of IT tools (asset);
- Effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
Security clearance: You will be subject to a BPSS check. UK SCâlevel Security Clearance or Export Control may be required, depending on the role.
