Join the Wing Systems Installations team in Filton, where you will support the entire Airbus fleet and pioneer the next generation of eco-efficient flight. You will challenge conventional thinking to optimise wing systems including fuel, hydraulics, and anti-ice across commercial and military aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • You will execute stress analyses for Systems Installations using Airbus methods and tools, ensuring the highest safety standards while optimising for weight, cost, and assembly.
  • You will provide end-to-end lifecycle support, from conceptual design and maturity gates to reactive support for production and Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) issues.
  • You will deliver essential stress outputs, including Stress Dossiers, Airworthiness justifications, trade studies, and test support.
  • You will recommend design improvements and work towards achieving SI Stress Design Organisation Approval (DOA) signature.

Qualifications (Must haves)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • Analysis skills: Proficiency in hand-calculation methods, including Free-Body Diagrams, Force and Moment Diagrams, and Fluid Statics.
  • Technical tools: Understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods and software such as Hyperworks or Nastran.
  • Systems knowledge: Engineering experience within Systems Installations or Wing Systems.
