About us: Airbus Filton is a multidisciplinary site that covers all aspects of the Airbus business including engineering, manufacturing, test, customer services, digital and more. There is a need to drive and support innovation practices across the site whilst working in conjunction with the site strategy team to deliver a multitude of projects in line with the site strategy. This is an exciting role to shape the future of the Filton site and its people. You will make a direct impact on the culture, mindset and the way we get things done now and in the future.
What you will be doing:
The role will require strong interpersonal skills and a desire to deliver autonomously. The successful candidate will be required to work with teams throughout the different Airbus functions and will gain a good understanding of the Airbus business. You will have the opportunity to collaborate or lead improvement projects, as well as working autonomously throughout the duration of your internship. We look to tailor the work you will be involved in based on your previous experience, interests and development needs to maximise the value you can add to the business.
Typical responsibilities may include:
- Day to day management of the Filton innovation space - working with and supporting a team of specialists in various technologies including (but not exclusive to) 3D Printing, mechatronics, Mixed reality and AI;
- Delivering projects from the Filton Site strategy portfolio;
- Liaising with European teams and external parties to bring new opportunities to the Filton population in innovation practices and upskilling.
Requirements:
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
