About us:

The Digital Extended Enterprise (EE) Team enables efficient and secure IT connectivity and collaboration between any Airbus department and Airbus Third-Parties (Suppliers, Customers, Affiliates, authorities…). The team defines and industrialises the standard IT solutions & processes that should be used by the external partners of Airbus for their connectivity to Airbus’ Information Systems and Information Technology (IS/IT) systems. We collaborate with external partners and the other Airbus teams to prepare the strategy for the future, while ensuring compliance with Cyber security, data compliance, and ensuring business continuity.

Our team leads various projects to:

  • Standardise the solutions;
  • Simplify the way our external partners are connecting to our Airbus IT systems;
  • Ensure and recover compliance to our Airbus EE standards;
  • Optimise our EE processes and share/publish/educate about these standard processes.

What you will be doing:

As a member of the Digital Extended Enterprise Solutions team, you will be part of a truly dynamic international team with personnel based in core Airbus countries across Europe, as well as in Portugal, India, and Canada. Your role will be varied, and your activities will be connected with one of our improvement, industrialisation or compliance recovery projects. This may include:

  • Helping to develop new connection solutions and new EE standards;
  • Investigating major incidents that occur in service;
  • Liaising with external partners on technical issues;
  • New solution roll-out and migration of external partners’ end-users;
  • Creating documentation and video materials to train users and administrators;
  • Presenting and promoting Extended Enterprise solutions and services within Airbus;
  • Contributing to or potentially leading Extended Enterprise compliance recovery campaigns.

During this internship you will have the opportunity to develop your project management, service management and communication skills, operating in a fully international context.

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. As the successful candidate you should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Studying towards a degree in Information Technology (IT) or related subjects;
  • Organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Customer-oriented mindset;
  • Project management experience;
  • Reliability and creativity;
  • Ability to work as a team as well as independently;
  • Global understanding/appreciation of Enterprise IT systems/infrastructure;
  • Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with different levels of stakeholders.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
