We are seeking talented engineers to join our Airbus Protect team, in Filton, UK. The role involves:
- Supporting the customer’s Systems Engineers and Signatories in the development of System-Level Architecture, Sub-Systems and Equipment.
- Performing roles that require internal interfacing with Engineers, Certification Specialists and Procurement, and external interface roles such as supplier and vendor management.
- Leading and supporting the management and completion of deliverables to the customer, to meet the project milestones as per the Systems Development Process and Project lifecycle.
- Supporting and leading Project Management activities in the support of meeting deliverable targets to the customer.
- Supporting phase reviews and Validation and Verification activities, ensuring activity meets safety and technical needs.
- Managing and coordinating the aircraft systems input to Design Reviews including Process Assurance.
- Authoring technical reports, including design drivers, architectures, and test results.
- Working within the R&T phase of the development life cycle, development of system/equipment requirement specifications.
- Supporting the development of the Certification standards, as well as the new system architectures and equipment for a future aircraft.
As part of an engineering consultancy, as required, support onboarding of new customers, such as bid work, and support to Airbus Protect’s wider work portfolio in the Sustainability domain.
Experience required:
- You hold an Engineering degree relevant to aviation system design (e.g. Thermo-fluid/Mechanical/Electrical/Controls).
- Experienced Engineer with 5 years of experience minimum.
- Experience in aircraft systems design activities, including Fluid Mechanics or Control & Indication perimeters.
- Experience in Aircraft Fuel, Hydraulic or Landing Gear Systems is desirable.
- Experience in systems based engineering including requirements management and Validation & Verification all the way through to certification.
- Track record of leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and staff members.
- Experience in liquid hydrogen or Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and their applications in aviation is desirable.
- Experience of requirement management, including use of DOORS is desirable.
- Experience of Project Management is desirable.
