This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, UK-based team within a global legal department of over 120 professionals supporting Airbus Commercial aircraft. You will play a key role in helping to build a strong culture of integrity from the ground up, and supporting a wide variety of high-impact legal and compliance projects at two newly acquired Airbus sites.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Building a Foundation: Working with the UK team, you will be instrumental in integrating two new Airbus sites, helping to establish and embed a strong culture of integrity and compliance from the ground up. This involves implementing policies and processes and acting as a central point of contact for Compliance.
  • Trusted Advisor: You will serve as a go-to legal and compliance expert for employees, providing daily advice on a wide range of legal issues, from contract negotiation to dispute resolution. You will be a key player in proactive risk identification and mitigation.
  • Global-Local Link: You will bridge the gap between Airbus' global policies and local implementation. You will execute global legal and compliance programs within the UK context, conduct training, and ensure the business adheres to relevant local regulations.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Legal Expertise: You are a qualified English or Northern Irish Solicitor or Barrister with a current practicing certificate and at least 8 years of post-qualification experience. You have a solid background in commercial and contract law.
  • Compliance Acumen: You have a strong understanding of compliance, particularly in implementing anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies and conducting internal investigations.
  • Broad Legal Knowledge: You possess good knowledge of a range of legal areas, including intellectual property, disputes, corporate law, outsourcing, TUPE and real estate.
