An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources & Industrial Relations Business Partner to join the Airbus Belfast Ltd HR team. The role will report to the HR Business Leader for Airbus Belfast, with a dotted line reporting to the Head of SPIR Airbus Commercial UK. This role is key in ensuring that the company's Social Policies and Industrial Relations strategy is developed and delivered effectively on the Belfast site. The job holder will have responsibility to manage HR policy ensuring that high performance and consistency is applied in the business, through the delivery of a number of key business projects and provision. Employee Relations support would be provided to HRBP's and Business Managers.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Strategic & Operational Partnership: Work directly alongside the Head of HR (Belfast) and the Head of Social Policy & Industrial Relations (UK) to deliver our HR strategy, aligning with both local and national business goals.
  • Industrial Relations & Negotiations: Act as a key player in consultations and negotiations with recognised Trade Unions, fostering collaborative, solution-oriented relationships.
  • Northern Ireland Policy: Shape, develop, and implement HR policies tailored to NI legislation. You'll keep our team ahead of the curve by attending specialist Employment Law forums and working closely with external legal experts.
  • Empower & Educate: Provide expert guidance to Management on complex case management.

ABOUT YOU:

You are an agile HR professional who thrives on variety-equally comfortable managing day-to-day operational challenges as you are leading a major project.

Our Must-Haves:

  • CIPD Qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • HR Generalist Background: Proven experience navigating HR policies, procedures, and core HR tools.
  • Employee Relations: Hands-on experience handling complex employee relations issues and working productively with Trade Unions.
  • A Growth Mindset: A foundational knowledge of employment law, paired with a drive to master the nuances of Northern Ireland Employment Law.
  • Superb Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and influencing skills-you know how to connect with and advise stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: Strong organisational and project management skills with the autonomy to drive business solutions forward.
