Our team currently has a vacancy for a General Manager - Ireland (Including Statutory Directorship).
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will position Brenntag's Last Mile Operations in Ireland as a strategic advantage for our customers and suppliers.
- You will implement the Brenntag Essentials division's strategy for growth and customer satisfaction in the areas of sales, customer service, logistics, operations and safety.
- You are responsible for the sites, their equipment and personnel and therefore carry out far-sighted capacity, investment and personnel planning.
- You lead with the help of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and P&L metrics to measure and improve business performance, including volume, gross profit, personnel and operating costs.
- You ensure a continuous increase in gross profit while improving conversion rate and working capital metrics for inventory and accounts receivable.
- Maintain close collaboration with the regional sourcing organization and product management/material management teams through volume, price and inventory management.
- You drive the Brenntag culture and lead with clearly formulated guidelines, expectations and KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with high safety standards with our zero tolerance for unsafe processes and take corrective action where necessary.
- You ensure the maintenance of documented procedures for the work processes in close cooperation with the employees on site as well as the specialist departments of the higher-level organizational units.
YOUR PROFILE
- You have a basic academic education in business administration, industrial sales, industrial management, marketing, operations management, sales, supply chain management, logistics or finance.
- You have extensive and established experience in sales/manufacturing.
- You have proven success in leadership and management, including experience of having worked at senior/executive level previously.
- You have a strong mix of commercial and operational experience in your professional background.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong focus on results.
- You act as an exemplary ambassador for safety.
- You are self-motivated, assertive, full of energy and drive and are characterized by a strong winner mentality.
- You are characterized by your independent way of thinking and as an excellent team player.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional interpersonal, analytical and creative skills.
- You have a strong affinity for digital tools and solutions.
- You ideally have experience of the chemical sector.
