ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting and challenging opportunity is available for an Airbus Airframe Process Methods & Tools (M&T) Business Operational Support Stress Engineer (M/F). The jobholder will join the Airframe Deployment and BOS team (Business Operational Support). The core mission of the team is to deliver and standardize Business Operational Support, Business Release Management and Method & Tools compliance aiming excellence with continuous improvement of existing and to-be PMTD (Process Methods Tools Data) solution to internal and Extended Enterprise for a safe, innovative, competitive and sustainable digital aircraft.
Deployment & Business Operational Support activities are impacting all the “Engineering” community impacted by the Define & Integrate the Physical Aircraft Process. It covers Airframe (Structure), Landing Gear, Physical Systems, Cabin & Cargo, Propulsion, Customer Services, etc.
You will join a Multi-Functional Team plateau (MFT), developing the M&T based on an agile work methodology (SAFe), composed of transnational experts on Engineering Methods, on Information Management, Project Management. No expert level is required in all of these domains but solid foundations in each one of them are essential to evolve in the multi-functional and collaborative environment. In addition, good soft skills are key to influence and overcome the big challenges we face.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
- Provide both reactive and proactive Stress Business Operational support (BOS) to secure On Time, Cost and Quality deliveries as per SLA (Service Level Agreement).
- Incident resolution: Support any requestor (Airbus Internal and Extended Enterprise) who needs help related to Stress from basic questions to more complex topics.
- Manage overall BOS Stress continuous improvement plan.
- Launch root cause analysis and problem solving with relevant stakeholders and customers.
- Provide elbow support, coaching & awareness sessions to end users.
- Support training & awareness material creation and updates.
- Create and update Knowledge Articles.
- Support mapping assessment of existing Airframe Stress Process Methods and Tools.
- Capture and secure BOS Stress Knowledge transfer with focus on BOT (Business Own Tools) including relevant documentations.
- Support Stress BOT harmonisation initiatives from Development teams and contribute to the BAT (Business Acceptance Test) campaign.
ABOUT YOU
- You have a university degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- You have strong knowledge, skills and experience (minimum 8 years) on the overall Airbus Stress solutions especially on the Authoring Business Applications (eg ISAMI).
- You have good Technical Knowledge of global Structural Analysis process & methods (Analyse and Size components) and also on Configuration Management process & methods.
- You have good knowledge on Business Operational Support activities.
- Open-minded, proactive and self-confident person with excellent communication, networking and change management skills combined with the ability to motivate others.
- Autonomous and an ability to take initiative.
- English at negotiation level, French, German, Spanish language skills are considered as a plus.
- Willingness to work in an international environment.
This role will involve some travels for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
