We are currently recruiting for a pivotal position where the role will essentially be a point of consolidation of the Make & Buy elements for both the Wing and Mid-Fuse. This position is critical to allow the necessary financial stakeholder management, including key partners external to the plant. In this capacity, you will take ownership of key P&L and Balance Sheet related financial performance elements. This includes overseeing Non-Recurring Costs (NRCs), Free Cash Flow (FCF), and Inventory, alongside Recurring Costs (RCs) & Unit Costs that must remain consistent with the perimeter of the commercial unit selling price for the wing and mid-fuse.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • OP & Forecast Coordination: Drive and coordinate the OP and forecast process with plant and function teams, providing effective support to the target challenge and matching phase.
  • Target Convergence: Provide challenged OP assumptions and pre-targets for wing and mid-fuse, supporting the convergence process towards final targets aligned between Operations and VSM.
  • End-of-Year Forecasting: Provide a reliable end-of-year forecast in accordance with the overall mid-fuse roadmap for RC, NRC, and Inventory.
  • Daily Issue Resolution: Interface daily with local VSM teams to address and resolve business and financial performance issues for RC, NRC, and Inventory.
  • Monthly Financial Reporting: Provide timely and accurate monthly reporting, commentaries, and management information to VSM teams through a "drumbeat" financial review process.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify robust risks and opportunities, providing associated mitigation actions to drive convergence across the wing and mid-fuse scope.
  • Business Case & Investment Analysis: Assess and provide robust business case proposals for VSM investments, rate changes, and performance improvements, ensuring assumptions are challenged and align with company objectives.
  • Budget Perimeter Management: Interface with the central VSM team on budget perimeter and funding issues (e.g., supplier disruption costs), ensuring appropriate target re-alignment.
  • Business Partnering: Act as the overall business partner to the Head of VSM and serve as an integrated member of the local A220 VSM management team.
  • Financial Control & Awareness: Promote financial awareness, provide guidance to managers, and ensure adequate processes exist for stringent financial controls.
  • Data Integrity & Accuracy: Ensure rigorous processes are in place to maintain data integrity, guaranteeing the consistency, transparency, and accuracy of all reported actual and forecast information.
  • Compliance & Improvement: Ensure compliance with Internal Financial Control Standards (IFCS) and Ethics, while proactively supporting the continuous improvement of deployed financial processes.
