A vacancy for a 3D Experience System Architect has arisen within Airbus in Filton. You will join the "One PLM" department in charge of developing 3D Experience solutions, and you will functionally report to the Head of the Department. The organization is established to ensure the development and support of Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) solutions in the context of the Airbus Group Process, Method, and Tools strategy.

The scope of the organization is to deliver to the Airbus Business a single and harmonized set of IS/IT tools for the definition and development of the Aircraft, its industrial set-up, and the Support and Services part, including both non-recurring and recurring aspects. This scope will be directly linked to Engineering-related topics such as Simulation, Computer Assisted Design Authoring, Definition Dossier and its release, knowledge capitalization, and Product Quality, ensuring digital continuity through company domains.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution and exploration of solution alternatives
  • Define and present the IS architectural vision to the Agile Release Train (ART)
  • In conjunction with other System Architects and DevOps team, define and lead the implementation methodologies within the Agile Release Train
  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning and Pre- and Post-PI Planning, System and Solution Demos, and Inspect and Adapt (I&A) events
  • Plan and develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities
  • Work with Product and Solution Management to determine the capacity allocation
  • Operate within an economic framework when analyzing the impact of design decisions

This role could involve some travel for business (once a month) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Proven experience in Business IT projects
  • Ideally, knowledge of engineering, simulation and quality domains
  • Strong knowledge of: 3DExperience product and technologies; NetVibes / Exalead products; IT/IS Architecture design / Airbus Engineering IS Architecture; Configuration Management and definition dossier concepts; DevOps principles
