Working closely with the supervisory team to ensure all projects receive the correct support to achieve project completion on time and on budget.
Acting as a crew chief and able to delegate tasks to those within the team.
Ensuring compliance with the appropriate data and where necessary over sign the work that you have been delegated.
Embody modifications to customers' helicopters.
Carry out the embodiment of prototype and series modifications in accordance with released and approved data from Airbus Helicopters UK Ltd or from third party STC holders.
Maintain standards required by Part 145 and Part 21G scope of approvals.
Be able to liaise with the project management and design office teams.
Maintain good levels of communication within the installations team.
Ensure that good practices of H&S are maintained and that appropriate PPE for each task is being used.
Uphold and enforce the hangar rules.
- Recent aviation experience
- Experience of leading a small team
- Knowledge of Part 145 and Part CAMO approvals
- Knowledge of CAA Part 21G Production an advantage
- Knowledge of creating Form 1’s
- Ability to accurately interpret detailed mechanical drawings and associated data
- Have recent experience of sheet metal manufacturing techniques
- Recent experience of on and off aircraft riveting techniques
- Knowledge of the use of specialist test equipment related to main and tail rotor vibration analysis
- Ability to use Google Office, SAP and MS products
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative to high standards in order to ensure the continued, safe operation of the aircraft
- Flexible with a positive approach and genuine enthusiasm for the role
- Reliable with the ability to remain calm when under pressure
- Well organized and methodical – paying attention to detail
Due to the nature of this position, you will require DBS Security Clearance and SC clearance.
Applicants must meet any/all requirements of Export Compliance Regulations.
All candidates must possess the current, legal right to work in the United Kingdom. Airbus will not be able to offer sponsorship for any employment visas.
