University: University of West London

Degree: BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions (Software Engineering)

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Avionics Delivery & Data Architecture team as an Avionics Data Architecture Degree Apprentice. The team supports spacecraft programmes, including managing data and software solutions for new and ongoing European Space Agency (ESA) programmes.

What you will be doing:

You will work on cutting-edge space programmes, developing and delivering data processes and software solutions for spacecraft engineering data management. You will gain experience across development, test, delivery, and use of data processes and software solutions within spacecraft development and test.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and use different skills (technical, project management, communication, etc.) to complete tasks successfully.
  • Support and initiate activities within the team, gaining experience from developing, testing, and managing engineering data processes to final test, delivery, install, and post-delivery support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 A levels at grade C or above.
  • 5 GCSEs graded C/4 or above, including English Language and Maths, or a Level 2 Function Skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to listen, understand, and communicate information.
  • Desire to work in a technical team environment with an interest in software engineering.
  • Strong interest in developing yourself, especially in the context of software engineering.
  • Interest in finding creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Passion for coding and engineering.

  • 37 hours per week, with half-day Fridays.
