The Automation Technician will support Prestwick Operations by providing planned automated equipment maintenance, rapid response for technical issues, and management of critical spares.
How you will contribute to the team
- Perform maintenance on all types of electrical, electronic and/or mechanical equipment, machine circuits, Automated/Robotic systems, including but not limited to:
- Voltage distribution systems
- Motor control centres
- Various machine tools
- Various Robotic Solutions
- Data communications
- Fibre optic/copper cabling
- Programmable logic controllers (PLC)
Requirements for the role
- Essential experience includes automated electronic and mechanical systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), electrical and motor control, instrumentation systems, and use of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems.
- Advantageous experience includes robotics and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems.
- A technical craft apprenticeship within a relevant engineering discipline, as well as industrial experience.
