A great opportunity has arisen within Satair UK (an Airbus Service Company) to develop yourself and your career. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person with a technical mind-set. Joining the Operations team of Satair UK will allow you to develop technical and customer service skills while playing a key role in our Maintenance Component Organisation.
What this job is
As a technical apprentice, you will be at the core of our operations, participating in the end-to-end process for Batteries maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Front line customer support
- Continuously liaise with clients to coordinate forecast to plan against current manpower
- Continuous communication with workshop staff & instruct as necessary
- Distribute technical quotations & periodic follow up
- Produce all workshop shipping documentation and arrange shipment as per customer requirements
- Invoice all workshop orders
- Generate reports on a daily / monthly basis (internal/external)
- Control warranty logs
- Resolve and communicate customer complaints
- Chase overdue payments with accounts
- Assist in workshop activities during staff shortages
- Serve pricing negotiations (Small Businesses)
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date Workshop data management system
- Distribute communications to the team regarding changes to processes and documentation
- Handle ad-hoc duties
Skills & Abilities You Will Learn
- SAP Super User (ERP Repair)
- Consignor Status 1-7 (Training provided by the company)
- Career path as Certifying Staff Part 145 accreditations
What We Are Looking For
- Must be computer literate; knowledge of Excel required and Google environment
- Must be able to work under pressure and take initiative
- Must be decisive, accurate and dependable
- Excellent communication skills with clear spoken English
- Able to work flexibly within a team, giving and asking for support as needed
- Able to follow procedures & instructions
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of health & safety
- Able to understand the importance of punctuality and the impact that absence has on team effectiveness
Skills & Qualifications
- BTEC diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or electromechanical)
- Experience in working on Aircraft component maintenance (ATA C3, C6, C8)
