We are seeking a talented Digital Project Leader to drive the Broughton Digitalisation Transformation, with a specific focus on pioneering Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) tool development.
Based within our Digital Systems and Software Solutions team, your mission will be to seek, define, develop, and deploy world-class digital capabilities. You will systematically improve the way we work, secure value creation, and drive measurable productivity gains across the plant's production lines.
**HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM**
- AI Project Leadership & End-to-End Delivery: Lead the full AI project lifecycle from ideation through to industrialisation and deployment across core plant areas, ensuring close alignment with central digital strategy to successfully achieve annual digitalisation route map milestones.
- Technical Stewardship & Data Innovation: Oversee the design and deployment of machine learning models and AI agents on GCP/Vertex AI, mapping complex manufacturing data flows to build AI-ready architectures and drive industrial efficiency through advanced data analytics and MLOps.
- Stakeholder Management & Digital Change: Build strong partnerships with plant customers, executive stakeholders, and external suppliers to co-develop scaling solutions, whilst supporting the business through legacy Microsoft decommissioning and championing the adoption of Google Workspace toolsets.
- Governance, Risk & Financial Management: Direct project governance by ensuring all AI tools comply with Responsible AI principles, the EU AI Act, and cyber security frameworks, whilst proactively mitigating operational risks and managing project finances (including CAPEX, OPEX, RC, and NRC).
**ABOUT YOU**
- Project Management Expertise: Proven track record in project management, organization, and planning.
- AI & Cloud Capabilities: Demonstrated experience managing or leading projects involving Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, API management) and the deployment of production-grade AI/ML models.
- MLOps Knowledge: Strong understanding of MLOps principles, including infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud cost optimization.
- Data Literacy: Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization techniques to map data pipelines or communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
