What you will be doing
You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of AGGP2027 – Graduate Environmental, Health and Safety Support Placement and can expect to be involved in the following:
- Supporting workplace inspections, audits and environmental assessments.
- Helping to identify hazards, assess risks and monitor the completion of actions.
- Assisting with the investigation and recording of accidents, incidents, near misses and environmental events.
- Supporting the development and review of risk assessments, procedures and safe systems of work.
- Collecting, analysing and presenting EHS performance data.
- Helping to produce dashboards, reports, briefings and awareness material.
- Supporting environmental initiatives, including waste management, resource efficiency and the reduction of environmental impacts.
- Assisting with Health, Safety and Environmental campaigns and employee engagement activities.
- Supporting compliance with relevant legislation, company requirements and management-system standards.
- Working with teams across engineering, maintenance, facilities, logistics and business support.
- Contributing ideas and improvement opportunities while developing your own professional knowledge and experience.
Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position. At the end of the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of AGGP2027 – Graduate Environmental, Health and Safety Support Placement!
What we are looking for
To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have:
- A degree level or equivalent within Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Sustainability, Engineering, Science or another relevant subject.
- Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Environmental, Health and Safety.
- Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English).
- The ability to communicate with people at different levels of an organisation.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications—particularly Excel, PowerPoint & Word and Google Workspace applications such as Google Sheets, Slides & Docs.
- A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation.
- The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
