What you will be doing

You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Wing Structures or Systems Installation Engineer in one of the Wing Engineering Teams in Filton, Bristol, UK.

At the end of the 2 year development programme you will be fully equipped to be a key player as a Wing Structures or Systems Installation Engineer.

Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.

Throughout the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of either Design or Analysis engineer in one of the Wing Structures or Systems installation Engineering Teams in Filton.

You can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Static Stress analysis, from first principles to FEM based analysis
  • Design – CATIA tools, configuration management and DMU in Wing Structures and/or Systems installation
  • Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis
  • Digitalisation – automating processes using coding skills

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:

  • A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
    • Degree type: Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or higher)
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in a relevant field
  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
  • The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
  • Good knowledge of coding and data analysis techniques (desirable but not essential).
  • Natural curiosity and excitement to explore,
  • Excitement to work in a dynamic and changing environment,
  • Passion about Aerospace and the challenges of the civil aircraft market,
  • Sensitivity to clients needs and ability to develop good client relationships,
