What you will be doing

You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of a Nonlinear Structural Analysis Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of Wing Structure, to support in-service issues.
  • Nonlinear \"Virtual Test\" Simulations to support Aircraft Research programmes and Early Development programmes.
  • Use of Advanced Numerical Simulation packages like Abaqus, 3DX, Hyperworks and Nastran.
  • Learn how to correctly identify and simulate the physics of Aircraft Structural behaviour and to develop the Engineering judgement required to understand the results of our simulations.
  • Learn about our aircraft, their design, manufacture and in-service support.
  • Have the opportunity to gain experience in other departments like Research, Design, Materials, Structures Test, Aerodynamics and Manufacturing.

Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.

Throughout the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of a Nonlinear Structural Analysis Engineer!

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have:

  • A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Structures Analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
  • The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
