Responsibilities

  • You will execute stress analyses for Systems Installations using Airbus methods and tools, ensuring the highest safety standards while optimising for weight, cost, and assembly.
  • You will provide end-to-end lifecycle support, from conceptual design and maturity gates to reactive support for production and Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) issues.
  • You will deliver essential stress outputs, including Stress Dossiers, Airworthiness justifications, trade studies, and test support.
  • You will recommend design improvements and work towards achieving SI Stress Design Organisation Approval (DOA) signature.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline).

Analysis Skills

  • Proficiency in hand-calculation methods, including Free-Body Diagrams, Force and Moment Diagrams, and Fluid Statics.

Technical Tools

  • Understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods and software such as Hyperworks or Nastran.

Systems Knowledge

  • Engineering experience within Systems Installations or Wing Systems.
