Contract Opportunity
Shift: Earlies | Hours: 06:00-14:15 (Mon-Thu) | 06:00-12:00 (Fri)
Rate: £30.56 Umbrella / £22.23 PAYE + holiday
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK, adhere to ITAR restrictions, and be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance (BPSS).
The Opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced Skilled Fitter to support Outer False Works on a major Airbus assembly programme. This role suits someone with strong precision engineering fundamentals, high standards of workmanship, and a willingness to learn within a specialist aerospace environment. Training is available for the right engineering background. Ideally, applicants will hold a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Assembly and have prior experience in aviation or aerospace assembly.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision fitting of aerospace structures within the Outer False Works area
- Drilling and countersinking operations
- Sealant application
- Working safely with jigs and fixtures
- Adhering to COSHH and aerospace quality requirements
- Maintaining an organised, compliant work area
