Join the Airframe Transverse Design Methods and Tools (1AMRT) team, where you will sit at the heart of Airbus's engineering evolution. This is a rare opportunity to bridge the gap between proven excellence and future innovation; you will optimize current PM&T for high-profile programs like the A350 and Single Aisle while simultaneously architecting the NextGen Aircraft development strategy. By mastering tools like CATIA and the 3DExperience platform, you won’t just be following a process—you’ll be defining the roadmap for how the world’s most advanced aircraft are designed and integrated.

In this senior-level role, you will embrace the full spectrum of engineering activities, from Detailed Design and Definition Dossier to complex data management. You will work within a high-energy, multi-skilled environment using Scaled Agile (SAFe) frameworks to deliver faster, higher-quality solutions across Commercial, Helicopters, and Defense & Space units. If you are looking for a position where your technical leadership directly influences digital transformation and shapes the "Digital Design Manufacturing and Services" (DDMS) landscape, this is the place to make your mark.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Roadmap Ownership: Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Design Methods and Tools, aligning business needs with future engineering capabilities.
  • Technical PM&T Leadership: Provide expert guidance and technical leadership on Process, Methods, and Tools (PM&T), specifically focusing on Design Authoring and Definition Dossiers (DE.PA 03).
  • Digital Transformation & DDMS: Lead the integration of CATIA V5 and 3DExperience platforms to support the Digital Design Manufacturing and Services (DDMS) strategy across all Airbus Business Units.
  • Lifecycle Design Management: Ensure the efficiency of the full design dataset, including configuration management, release processes, and design rules for both Serial and NextGen aircraft.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Digital, and Manufacturing stakeholders—as well as external partners—to ensure seamless tool adoption and high-quality product delivery.
  • Agile Project Execution: Drive complex projects using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), managing scope, time, and quality while providing coaching and proactive support to the engineering community.

Proven experience in global engineering Design Process, Method and Tools (A350 and SA PLM) cross domain (Structure, MSI, ESI and Cabin). Solid understanding of downstream activities and needs (Manufacturing and Customer Services). Experience in engineering 3DExperience platform toolset. Experience in global engineering Design Modelling Methods (CATIA). Experience in Change Process and Configuration Management principles. Engineering qualification background (at least Bachelor of Engineering/Technology or Masters).

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
