Job Description:

Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) is a subsidiary of Airbus. We are currently looking for a technician to join our growing team.

Role Requirements

• Primary role will be working in Flight Assembly, working on general building of boards and modules, harness, mechanisms, and solar panels.
• Working in a cleanroom environment
• Working to ESA standard
• Working to build instructions and drawings
• A high level of electro-mechanical build
• Building of wire harnesses and test boxes
• Other activities as delegated

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

• Experience within a cleanroom environment
• ESA certification required
• A good knowledge of soldering practices and intricate electro-mechanical build practices
• Practical, hands-on ability
• Good general computing skills (word processing and basic spreadsheets) including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong and clear communication skills
• Commitment to take own initiative
• Desire to support others
• Good team working skills
• High attention to detail
• Excellent planning and organizing skills
• Ability to use common sense when under pressure
• Ability to multi-task and deliver both immediate and longer-term tasks
• Ability to demonstrate company mindsets and behaviors: be accountable, drive & deliver, communicate effectively, self-manage effectively, work as one team
