We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our dynamic logistics team. In this critical role, you will be the gatekeeper for our quality standards, ensuring every component meets the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry before it enters our Part 145 stores. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will have ultimate responsibility for the end-to-end quality inspection of all materials. Your diligence will guarantee that only fully compliant parts enter our supply chain and reach the end-user, directly contributing to our reputation for safety and excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed receipt and evaluation inspections of complex aerospace components and assemblies against technical drawings and pre-set inspection plans.
- Ensure strict compliance with all internal quality procedures, airworthiness control plans, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Apply aerospace expertise to verify that all products conform to MAA/FAA/EASA Part 145 specifications and other industry standards (ATLAS, CASA…).
- Maintain and verify meticulous records for material batch and manufacturer traceability.
- Issue and manage Discrepancy Reports (DRs) and Non-Conformances (NCRs), and actively assist in the resolution of supplier quality issues.
- Serve as a key representative for the Quality department in internal meetings, working committees, and modification programs.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of aviation regulations, particularly EASA Part 145, and quality standards like AS9100.
Quality Processing: Document inspections, manage material traceability, complete Certificates of Conformity (CofC) and process non-conforming parts.
Key Attributes: Possesses exceptional attention to detail, unwavering integrity, and clear communication skills to collaborate with technical and logistics teams.
Interpreting Technical Documents: Ability to read, interpret, and follow complex technical documentation, including engineering drawings (blueprints), inspection plans, technical specifications, and international standards.
Documentation and Reporting: Meticulous record-keeping skills, with experience in completing inspection reports.
Non-Conformance Management: Experience in identifying, documenting, and processing non-conforming products using Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) or Discrepancy Reports (DRs). This includes physically segregating parts in a quarantine area.
Traceability Management: Understanding of how to maintain and verify material batch and manufacturer traceability.
FOD & Counterfeit Part Prevention: Knowledge of industry best practices for preventing Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and identifying suspected unapproved or counterfeit parts, with an awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to integrity.
