Overview
The Wing Plant Engineering Team (PET) is the first point of contact for the Broughton, Filton and Bremen Plants. The Wing PETs are responsible for providing Wing Engineering support, as part of the overall Wing Design Organisation, specifically responsible for:
Responsibilities
- Representing Engineering in the Plant providing a single voice to the customer (Production Support and Design Liaison)
- Engineering performance for the plant on the following deliverables: drawings release, Design Query Notes and Non Conformance Answering
- Focusing the engineering to add value to design change delivered to the plant. Driving disrupt improvements into the industrial system
- Representing the Plant within Engineering being the voice of Production (Our primary customer)
- Delivering and enabling Recurring Cost Reduction and Modification Implementation (team is responsible to ensure all interfaces and stakeholders are respected).
At the end of the 2 year development programme you will be fully equipped to be a key player as a Wing Structures Engineer. Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position. Throughout the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of either Design or Analysis engineer in one of the Wing Structures Plant Engineering Teams.
Qualifications
- A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
- Degree type: Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or higher)
- Recently graduated or first professional experience in a relevant field
- Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
- A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
- The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
- Good knowledge of coding and data analysis techniques.
