As an Apprentice Engineer the type of placements you will undertake may include:
- Architecture and Integration
- Design (for Wing structures and/or systems installation)
- Simulation
- Analysis (Static Stress and Fatigue & Damage Tolerance)
- Systems Installation Safety Analysis
- Research and Technology
- Certification
- Ground and Flight Test
- In Service Support
- Digital (e.g. coding, AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Optimization, Methods and tools)
- Materials, Processes and Test
- Wing Structures Repairs
You will also develop the following:
- Project Management through placements in Chief Engineers or other departments
- Business and Financial knowledge
- Leadership Skills through working on projects with a broad range of people
In order to be eligible to this apprenticeship, you must have a minimum of:
- 112 UCAS points or above: 3 A Levels BBC or above which must include Maths at B or above AND Physics or Chemistry at C or above, with a further A-level/AS-Level/BTEC Diploma
- BTEC Extended Diploma: Aeronautical Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing in Engineering, Construction and the Built Environment, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Engineering, Land-based Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Operations and Maintenance Engineering - minimum grade DMM or D(Advanced Manufacturing Engineering)
- T Levels - Minimum of Merit overall in Engineering and Manufacturing, additional qualification in Maths at Level 3 preferable but not essential
- GCSE Maths and English (Language and Literature) - Minimum of Grade 5/B

Our Engineering Degree Apprenticeship offers a full degree with no fees, plus vocational training with a regular salary.
