Job Description
We are looking for a Landing Gear System Engineer to join our team in Filton.
Responsibilities
- Review and severity identification of in‑service events in the fleet;
- Root cause analysis and incident monitoring;
- Manage any unsafe condition related to landing gear systems occurring in the fleet;
- Present results during reviews in front of authorities or internal Airbus managers;
- Analyse and monitor the implementation of proposed corrective actions;
- Ensure progress of activities and compliance with delivery milestones, and communicate progress to the Project Manager.
Experience Required
- University degree in Engineering;
- At least 5 years experience in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, ideally in Safety and Continued Airworthiness engineering;
- Experience of Safety processes, regulations and guidelines (ARP 5150, Part‑21A.3, Part‑M, CS 25.1309);
- Good knowledge of Aircraft Systems, especially Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems;
- Experience in the Landing Gear perimeter;
- Track record of leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and staff members, delivering on Time, Cost and Quality;
- Aware of potential compliance risks and committed to act with integrity.

- Strong ability to lead and manage a project team (e.g., Work Package management);
- Team player, keen to share knowledge and work collaboratively within a small team;
- Customer‑centric and able to build relationships in a matrix environment;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Autonomous, curious, proactive, rigorous, with great attention to detail;
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
