The Airbus Protect Sustainability Team in Filton invites applications for the role of Fuel Systems Placement Student to support the development of zero‑emission fuel solutions. You will work on RåT projects including ZEROe (hydrogen fuel system) and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and contribute across the full fuel system design lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to all phases of the fuel system design lifecycle from concept to extended service goal.
- Assist in the design, development, certification and safe operation of fuel and fuel‑inerting systems for fixed‑wing aircraft using kerosene, SAF and hydrogen fuels.
- Lead project activities on behalf of the customer and support verification and validation work.
- Participate in emerging themes such as life‑cycle assessment, eco‑design and decarbonisation challenges.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
- Enrolled full‑time undergraduate student in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
- Fluent in English.
- Basic knowledge of AI tools.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and a team‑player attitude.
- Enthusiasm for learning new topics.
- Valid undergraduate status for the entire placement period.
