So what\’s your next change? *About the Role* We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to take responsibility for all manufacturing operations within a programme / build stage, ensuring on time and on cost supply of quality products to our customers. You will be required to strike the right balance between hands-on engagement in daily activities and tactical deployment of the company objectives You will have line management responsibility for assembly / test, manufacturing, engineering and logistics / stores. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be required to add value through operation and Continuous Improvement of an effective Lean based Management System, plan for the development of skills and competencies needed to deploy the production plan for the area of scope, and ensuring that Production Managers implement this plan effectively. The Manufacturing Manager ensures that the manufacturing area for which they are accountable meets EHS requirements and that their team follows the process. *How you will contribute to the Team.* * Make sure daily operations are run in a safe working environment with all resource to be adequately competent to carry out the work * Make certain improvements to the safe working environment are driven through departmental objectives and management * Manufacturing components to the required airbus standards working with both internal and external customers to ensure the satisfaction of needs and expectations * Continuous improvement of quality fundamentals to improve business performance * Ensure the efficient running of the management system for people, machines, materials, methods and processes delivering the required business objectives * Verify the designated area is prepared to enable any rate or product changes * Develop a team of PMs that drive business results * Be a coach and mentor *About you* * High priority on Safety & Quality in the workplace * Previous experience in manufacturing operations in high volume / high variety production of complex products and systems * Strong team leadership experience, interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate others, coupled with strong communication skills * Competent with LEAN tools and techniques * Experienced in cost management * ERP experience ideally SAP * Experience in the aerospace industry * Ability to interface with external parties *How we can support you* Many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including part-time.
