We are looking for an engineer to join the ZEROe Refuel Team. This team is leading the way to design the first ever refuel system for a commercially viable, cryogenically cooled hydrogen propelled aircraft. As a member of the ZEROe project, you will join a team of highly motivated and valuable people who are involved in aircraft concept exploration, technologies development, next generation industrial system and future hydrogen ecosystem preparation that will shape the development of our zero-emission aviation. The team will take the refuel system from its current state of TRL3 “Feasible” to a final passenger carrying design.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM:
- Supporting a multi-system architecture definition of aircraft concepts with specific focus on the refuel function.
- Leading hydrogen (H2) supplier equipment design, development, test, integration and qualification.
- Developing excellent component level knowledge across ATA28 fluid mechanical fuel systems focusing on the refuel system and the interfaces with other ATA’s, in particular thermal management systems.
- Driving the associated fuel system technology development and ensuring that appropriate demonstration means are in place, either at the equipment supplier’s or our own test facilities, to secure maturity of the necessary technological concepts.
- Engaging with key stakeholders both internally and externally, working with our growing H2 fuel systems team and developing key relationships with partners and suppliers to drive Airbus’ ZEROe ambition.
ABOUT YOU:
- Cryogenic technology or aerospace systems engineering experience.
- Some knowledge or experience of fluid mechanical systems is preferable.
- Engineering degree.
