Airbus is reinforcing export control compliance within our organisation and embedding core values of honesty and integrity. You can play a critical role in this improvement, contributing to the evolution of Airbus’ culture of compliance in accordance with all local and international laws and regulations. You will help to raise our export control maturity to bring competitive advantage for the company and mitigate potential exposure to penalties, debarment, consent agreements etc.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
- Request, manage, and ensure strict compliance for all export licences, agreements, and exceptions under UK, EU, and US regulations, while overseeing and documenting all related processes and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Represent Airbus with government agencies (e.g., ECJU) and commercial working groups, collaborating closely with the wider Airbus export control team to drive a consistent, efficient approach to compliance.
- Oversee internal and external audits-including the implementation of their recommendations-across all Airbus UK and Ireland sites, while actively monitoring and assisting subsidiaries with their export control obligations.
- Advise internal teams, external suppliers, and service providers on export control matters, ensuring all necessary authorizations are secured and specific terms and conditions are strictly followed.
- Develop and deliver targeted export control training across UK and Ireland locations, constructively engaging with staff and management across all functions to raise awareness and identify and mitigate risks.
- Continuously improve departmental processes, optimize export control practices, and deploy automation tools in alignment with regulatory requirements and Airbus Directives and Methods.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience working in a multinational environment advising on international trade, sanctions and export control matters
- You have strong knowledge of UK (preferably aerospace) industrial export environment - specifically UK, EU, US export control
- Specific knowledge of French and/or German export controls would be beneficial
- IT skills: working knowledge of the Microsoft Pack Office and SAP
