We're searching for a talented individual to join our Occupational Hygiene team at Belfast.This isn't just a compliance role; it's an opportunity to be a key player in protecting our workforce. You will be the go-to expert for chemical risk assessments, proactively identifying and evaluating workplace health hazards through inspections and sampling. You'll analyse data against UK regulations, design effective control measures, and develop crucial training programs.*HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM * * Delivering an Occupational Hygiene plan, ensuring high-quality monitoring and risk assessment activities aligned with business priorities.* Applying specialist expertise in exposure monitoring, chemical risk assessment, noise assessment, ventilation evaluation and hazard recognition to support informed decision-making.* Generating actionable insights through the analysis and interpretation of industrial hygiene data, driving evidence-based improvements in health risk management.* You will advise, recommend, and evaluate the effectiveness of engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE).* You will work closely with EHS professionals, engineers, human resources, and other departments to integrate Occupational Hygiene principles into all aspects of the business *ABOUT YOU* *It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that sufficient detail is provided to demonstrate how they meet essential job criteria, as this alone will be used for vetting purposes.* *Essential:* * *A BOHS qualification* (or be actively working towards it), or an equivalent qualification in chemical risk assessment. * *2+ years* in conducting workplace risk assessments, particularly for chemical exposure, and implementing monitoring strategies within a UK context. * *A strong background* in developing and implementing effective exposure control measures, including engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE. * *Proficiency with industrial hygiene monitoring equipment and software*, coupled with excellent data analysis skills to interpret results against UK exposure limits. *Closing date: 19th of October 2026* Please note that meeting the mandatory criteria listed above guarantees consideration for the role, but does not ensure progression to the interview stage.
