Job Description: *JOB SUMMARY* We are seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to join our A220 Programme team in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Reporting operationally to the Head of Quality Engineering Airframe Wing Operations and functionally to the Head of A220 Engineering, you will play a key role in leading quality engineering activities across the A220 programme. You will be embedded within the A220 Engineering Programme Management Team, providing functional direction to both Plant and Programme Engineering teams at the Belfast site. *HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM* * Manage supplier quality processes, including performance metrics and regular reviews with airframe engineering suppliers. * Deliver structured quality reporting and support compliance across Plant and * Programme Engineering. * Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of quality standards and initiatives to support programme goals, including rate ramp-up. * Implement early warning systems and risk mitigation tools (e.g. APQP, DFMEA) to monitor and manage high-risk deliverables. * Facilitate design reviews, lessons learnt integration, and structured problem-solving (e.g. 8D, 9S) to enhance engineering performance. * Maintain a quality performance system to track key engineering deliverables and drive improvements in time, cost, and quality. *ABOUT YOU* * Proven experience in quality engineering within an aerospace or complex manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to wing or airframe structures. * Strong understanding of supplier quality management, engineering development processes, and risk mitigation tools such as DFMEA. * Skilled in quality reporting, performance monitoring, and facilitating cross-functional reviews and improvement initiatives. * Familiar with structured problem-solving techniques (e.g. 8D, 9S) and continuous improvement methodologies. * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across engineering, production, and supplier teams. * Committed to upholding high standards of compliance, integrity, and quality in line with customer and regulatory expectations. *SP_TRA LI-AB1* This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
