Airbus Helicopters UK (AHUK) is seeking an Installation and Production Manager to join our Customisation Centre. In this dual‑faced role you will lead the Production and Installation team while serving as the nominated CAA Form 4 Production Manager for our Part 21G approval. You will be a key member of the Engineering Senior Management Team, ensuring that all bespoke completions and installations meet the highest regulatory and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Operational Oversight: Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Installation and Production team.
- Resource Planning: Maintain a forecast schedule of projects to ensure appropriate resource coverage and floorspace.
- Workload Management: Coordinate with senior leadership to align workload with workforce capacity and contract delivery schedules.
- Professional Development: Conduct routine staff appraisals and identify/implement necessary training requirements.
- Inter‑departmental Support: Collaborate with the Design Organisation to identify errors or omissions, enabling timely corrective action.
- Regulatory Compliance: Manage the Part 21G production organisation in accordance with CAA regulations, ISO9001, and Safety Management Systems.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all manufactured parts meet the highest standards and comply with technical data.
- Documentation: Review and amend the Production Organisation Exposition (POE) and working procedures regularly.
- Financial Accountability: Hold financial responsibility for the manufacturing department and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Safety & Environment: Enforce hangar rules and strict adherence to Health & Safety practices, including correct use of PPE.
Experience & Knowledge
- Aviation Leadership: Proven track record in a senior position within an aviation production organisation.
- Regulatory Expertise: Solid knowledge of CAA Part 21G (Production), Part 145 (Maintenance), and Part 21J (Design) approvals.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to hold a CAA Form 4 for the Production Manager role.
- Technical Literacy: Proficient with Google Office, SAP, and Microsoft Office products.
