AHUK offers considerable experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support. Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, as well as technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications. AHUK is the MoD’s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its No.1 Helicopter Flying school (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey).

Description/Overall Responsibilities

As an Avionic Manager, you'll be responsible for the certification of maintenance and repairs on a variety of Airbus rotorcraft, including the popular H125, H135, H145 and the new H160. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, continued operation of our aircraft through:

  • Management of staff adherence to standards and expectations of AHUK policy and engineering practice
  • Assist with production planning
  • Supervision of battery workshop and other component work as endorsed by the company approvals
  • Liaison with Part 21 functions
  • Inspection and issuance of Form 1’s
  • Providing technical support to regional engineers and customers
  • Management of MGS and other associated maintenance softwares

Knowledge and Skills

Essential: Part 66 B2 and C licence with type ratings of EC135, H135, EC145, H145 minimum. H160 and single group desirable.
