AHUK offers considerable experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support. Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, as well as technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications.

AHUK is the MoD s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its Defence Helicopter Flying School (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey).

Description/Overall purpose of the Job

UK Military Flying Training System (Rotary Wing) Airworthiness Engineer – Fixed Term Contract Shawbury Reports to UK MFTS (RW) Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager (Shawbury)

• The Airworthiness Engineer is responsible to provide Part CAMO Airworthiness Support Function within the CAMO Department.

• The main responsibilities of the post holder will be:

• Periodical review of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes against fleet Maintained Aircraft • Implement/validate changes to the Maintenance Programmes in the MIS arising from revisions to the AMP ensure compliance against aircraft configuration.

• Monitor and implement actions arising from applicability requirements ascertained as part of incoming airworthiness data review

• Assist with the review of all forms of technical information from the Regulatory Authorities, and OEMs in a timely and consistent manner, this will include, but is not limited to the following

• Airworthiness Directives

• Service Bulletins

• Be acceptable to the UK CAA to hold a form 4 position (ARC Signatory)

• Provide input to the H135/H145 presentations for the MFTS CAMR

• Generate AD/SB compliance reports periodically or as required to support Aircraft Audits and Airworthiness Reviews.

• Provide a proactive approach to repetitive defect analysis and reporting.

• Perform other airworthiness activities as directed by the Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager based on workload and task prioritisation in support of the MFTS operation

The post holder would ideally have the following Knowledge and Skills:

ESSENTIAL

• Must have thorough knowledge of EASA regulations relating to Part CAMO and Part 145 Airworthiness and Maintenance requirements.

• Experience with SAP and ERP software.

DESIRABLE

• Knowledge of Airbus H135/H145 product.

• Understanding of EASA Part 21 Subparts G and J, including associated Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) material.

We require the post holder to have the following Education, Qualifications or special training:

ESSENTIAL

• Formalised EASA Part 145 and Part CAMO

training.

• Human factors Initial training completed

DESIRABLE

• HND in Aviation related discipline.

The post holder should have the following experience:

ESSENTIAL

• 3 year s experience in an Airworthiness role, specific to EASA Part CAMO activities.

DESIRABLE

• Previous experience as an Aircraft Engineer (EASA Part 66 Licenced preferred) or 5 years of experience within a Continued Airworthiness Management environment.

• Experience of Military Aviation.
