Overview

In this role you contribute to shaping high-performance aircraft wings within Airbus Aerodynamics.

You will work across design, testing, and data-driven analysis to optimize aerodynamics for current and future aircraft.

The role blends CFD, wind-tunnel and flight-test data to accelerate design, with opportunities to travel internationally and collaborate across disciplines.

You’ll help drive sustainability milestones and innovative wing solutions that impact aircraft performance.

Responsibilities

  • Design external aerodynamic shapes to meet aircraft requirements
  • Perform design trades to influence overall aircraft design
  • Conduct numerical optimization for performance gains
  • Coordinate wind tunnel or flight tests and review data
  • Support in-service and industrial aero-queries
  • Drive research to enhance simulation capabilities
  • For data-for-loads: run CFD campaigns to create aero loads models
  • Manage wind tunnel tests and validate aerodynamic load models
  • Follow flight tests to verify models
  • Develop aero loads models and innovative processes for their creation

  • Passion for aircraft and aerodynamics
  • CFD experience
  • CAD tools experience (CATIA and/or 3DExperience)
  • Python programming skills
